Museum of Evald Okas, Haapsalu Estonia

Absolutely worth of seeing museum, maybe something is boiling for me for the next year… Right now besides Evald Okas permanent collection on the second floor, on the first floor there is an exhibition of Hungarian contemporary art- 2 photographers and 2 painters.

Unfashionable boys from Finland!

Today two Finnish “unfashionable boys”-as they call themselves- jewellery maker Kimmo Heikkilä and ceramist Risto Hämäläinen opened their exhibition “Must ja Valge ja…”(Black and White and…) in the Hop Gallery, Tallinn.
The exhibition remains open until 22.06.2010. Open Thu-Tue 11-18.

3 new colleagues!

Today 3 students of the jewellery and blacksmiths departement of the Estonian Academy of Arts had their portfolio presentations. I was asked to comment their works. Welcome on board!

Coming soon- Kaire Rannik solo exhibition!

Kaire is going to show her new collection in the A-gallery. The exhibition will remain open until 21st of June in Tallinn. I already had a secret sneak-peak at the pieces- dramatic, beautiful, strong forms, monochrome colors and interesting combinations of materials.

Waiting for ice road!

Very soon ice road from the mainland to Hiiumaa will be opened, 25 km over the sea. We are looking forward!
