News “From the Coolest Corner” – Aftermath

February 7th, 2013

Sigurd Bronger introducing pieces by Lisa Walker.

Sigurd Bronger reused Otto Künzli’s classical bracelet (rubber band with golden ball inside), turning it into brooch. According to Sigurd this bracelet was the first art jewelry he bought and later one realizing that it turned to be widely popular. This fact disappointed artist and he never wore the piece. Perhaps new function will bring the piece into new life!

Jewellery piece by Stefan Heuser, made out of paracetamol pills.

PS! On the photos installation of A5, it took us with Kristi 8 hours to build it up, for taking down and packing it we used around half of the time. We could specialize on it, any job offers?

Coolest corner- Oslo

January 27th, 2013

My new year started with trip to Oslo to attend the events accompanying the Nordic jewellery exhibition “From the Coolest Corner”.

So many openings, conference, good talks with many old friends and colleagues as well as meeting new people. As I studied there on 1996, it was really heartwarming to visit this cool city again. Definitely good start for the new year!

Soon – triennial!

October 24th, 2012

I can not believe it, only one month left!

Here is no difference between days and nights now. Architects, designers, colleagues all working hard. Phones ringing, couriers entering from different entrances at the same time, mistakes- repairing, tons of letters, disappointment- joy, high adrenaline, lists, lists, lists, all necessary parts of it, making one day last like a week.

For more, have a look at the triennial programme.
